I know it isn't the same in France, but it's still a nice holiday to think of friends and family far and near. I'm grateful you're in my life.Ginnynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-7959743620209337642011-11-23T11:12:02.148+01:002011-11-23T11:12:02.148+01:00"Graines Bocquet" have Sweet Dumpling / ..."Graines Bocquet" have Sweet Dumpling / Patidou in their on-line seed catalogue. I've seen Patidou in Leclerc, and they weren't Sweet Dumpling as I know it, or as Bocquet has it. The Sweet Dumpling squash I grew back in the UK had a dimple on both ends so they looked like little fat ridged wheels. The supermarket ones were pointed, like an Acorn squash, and multicoloured. Sweet Dumpling are cream coloured with dark green splashes - very pretty and they certainly are tasty. I think the patidou you bought may be a modern hybrid. Or maybe the name covers a whole range of different varieties!Pollygarterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10519711639714303756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-86109746596037603192011-11-23T09:27:40.130+01:002011-11-23T09:27:40.130+01:00Hello Milkjam, "carnival squash" is cert...Hello Milkjam, "carnival squash" is certainly a name that fits.Ken Broadhursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04430899802705818716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-30679313301523544002011-11-23T08:37:17.296+01:002011-11-23T08:37:17.296+01:00I had wondered that myself a few weeks ago when I ...I had wondered that myself a few weeks ago when I bought one (soooo yummy!!) its called a "carnival sqaush" in English :-)MilkJamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06739677330268984829noreply@blogger.com
