I'm not sure which one would have been more difficult! :)
We must have arrived in France within weeks of each other. It seems strange that more than 5 years have passed by already, don't you think? It has been so fast!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18245742506531002363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-9466502018729931482008-09-26T06:28:00.000+02:002008-09-26T06:28:00.000+02:00To quote Maurice Chevalier:Ah yes, I remember it w...To quote Maurice Chevalier:
Ah yes, I remember it well.
:-)Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15170098781777190491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-83564941548718632362008-09-25T16:41:00.000+02:002008-09-25T16:41:00.000+02:00Evelyn, I don't think houses in S.F. proper and th...Evelyn, I don't think houses in S.F. proper and the immediate suburbs have lost or gained a lot of their value in five years. But then I'm sure it is harder to find buyers.

Judy, it was very tense but it all turned out just right.

Autolycus, we were a little bit desperate, and I guess we are optimists. If France had said no thanks to us, we would have relocated somewhere within in the U.S. where living costs were lower than in S.F. and we would have kept the house in France. To do what with it, I don't know. Luckily, we didn't have to face that decision.Ken Broadhursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04430899802705818716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-42264091728397987852008-09-25T15:18:00.000+02:002008-09-25T15:18:00.000+02:00Do you ever wonder what the value of your SF house...Do you ever wonder what the value of your SF house is now? Your intuition was very good and Zephyr was the right choice.

I remember your coming on the Francophile Forum with questions about Collette around this time. Things happened quickly, but everything fell into place nicely.

It's fun to read about the details now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-82471298006226951332008-09-25T15:02:00.000+02:002008-09-25T15:02:00.000+02:00Wow! These are all things that I have wondered about myself... importing an animal, how the health-insurance issue is handled for expats, and how to handle moving a household of stuff overseas (and cost). This is fascinating! :)) Allez! J'ai hâte de lire la suite....

JudySeine Judeet (Judith)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07407353544376132484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-2795972749865603802008-09-25T13:33:00.000+02:002008-09-25T13:33:00.000+02:00Goodness, what a high-wire act it must have been. ...Goodness, what a high-wire act it must have been.
