Neither is more than 3 or 4 miles from our house. There's a larger SuperU 10 miles north in Contres. Auchan is 25 miles north near Blois, there are two Centres Leclerc within 25 miles (Loches and Romorantin), and Carrefour is 35 or 40 miles west in Tours. There you have it. Our Saint-Aignan SuperU is a nice store and has pretty much everything we need.Ken Broadhursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04430899802705818716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-85561608295141192512012-11-27T19:57:43.314+01:002012-11-27T19:57:43.314+01:00How far do you guys have to drive to get to a majo...How far do you guys have to drive to get to a major market like Carrefour or SuperU?Starmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12386841450183061541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-86118827567411341292012-11-27T19:08:05.015+01:002012-11-27T19:08:05.015+01:00Hi Martine, I bought the beef roast today. I'm looking forward to it and will post some pictures.

Mary, merci. It's pretty spectacular - prepartion-wise, but I'm not so sure about the taste. I had it once, decades ago and found it rather bland. But then it didn't come with the ingredients you mention. Looking forward to your cooking report and 'verdict'! :) Martineladybirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05690656561242165157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-122927993622768132012-11-27T14:08:51.001+01:002012-11-27T14:08:51.001+01:00Get the ducks. We have duck breast almost every week, and would have roast duck and duck confit more often if they were more readily available here.Bob Rossihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08349830722788278723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-43826268667986996002012-11-27T09:56:32.954+01:002012-11-27T09:56:32.954+01:00A fatten duck or extra lean beef!
