My ex-colleague from Georgia loved lilacs and nursed some plants of named varieties for ages in her garden in England, but none survived. Our lilacs thrive on neglect. We have ...Ahhhhh..... your lovely spring flowers :)
We have a line along the front of our yard of alternating lilacs and rose of sharon. The lilacs are in the best bloom so far of the 4 springs we've lived here. I loooove having them! I walk outside just to look at them. There are supposed to be severe wind and thunderstorm events here in our area today and tomorrow, so I imagine they'll look rather worse for the wear after.

Yikes! I see that Morehead City is mentioned in the news reports now, for tornado damage... hoping they're just reporting from there. The leaves are coming from intersections of branch and twig- it's a Spring miracle.Evelynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17824964122794535252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-34861094648553605742014-04-27T15:27:25.749+02:002014-04-27T15:27:25.749+02:00The irises must be propagating also underground an...The irises must be propagating also underground and now shoots are flowering.
C'est gris hère alsoThe Beaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11457136925020206640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-61869459350249649992014-04-27T15:09:16.713+02:002014-04-27T15:09:16.713+02:00Beautiful!Beautiful!Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06031276247743743680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18071407.post-38330060469426886142014-04-27T13:32:09.051+02:002014-04-27T13:32:09.051+02:00Hi Ken, if you had looked up at the sky in Morehea...Hi Ken, if you had looked up at the sky in Morehead yesterday, the comment
probably would have been "c'est noir." And irises always remind me of June holidays in France. Thanks for posting the photos. Enjoy them! Martineladybirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05690656561242165157noreply@blogger.com
