No watering today

Météociel says we are going to get something approaching 30 millimeters of rain over the next 24 hours. That's more than an inch, and it would be more rain in one day than we've had since early May. There's no need to water the vegetable garden this morning.

I snapped the photo above of this morning's sunrise just about 5 minutes ago. Does it look ominous? The colors certainly struck me as unusual.

  1. Here, in Paris, it was overcast this morning, but now it is sunny.

  2. The rains seems to be going south and east of Saint-Aignan. Still, Météociel is predicting a lot of rain here tonight. We shall see. We are making a zucchini lasagna for lunch and I'm starving.

  3. Looks like a winter's sky. Zucchini lasagna sounds good.

    1. The lasagna was delicious. I contained basque sausage meat with piment d'espelette, ricotta cheese, and parmesan.

  4. Very dramatic . Ominous in New York State is when they are black against a grey sky and everything gets really still. I always worry about tornadoes. Yes they are rare but I worry ~

    1. We have to worry about wind too, but we haven't had much recently. Our house and trees are very exposed to the west wind.
